Emily has been singing and performing her whole life. She studied Music and Drama at the University of Manchester, gaining her BA (hons), and taking part in many concerts, operas and shows along the way. She then went on to teacher training, studying Secondary Music, Drama and Performing Arts and gaining QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Since 2015, she has been teaching music, singing and performing arts in primary and secondary schools, at a performing arts school, and privately. She has been director and musical director for many student shows both inside of school and out, as well as treading the boards herself in various productions. As well as Cosmos, Emily is available to hire as a singer for functions, events and concerts. Please email cosmosperformingarts@gmail.com for more information.

Emily’s favourite time teaching is with her sister, Freya! She is having the best time with their venture ‘Cosmos Performing Arts’. She hopes to bring the joy she feels when she is performing to the students of Cosmos Performing Arts!

Dance and Drama Leader

Freya has always had a passion for Dance, Movement and all things Musical Theatre.  She studied professionally at Laine Theatre Arts where she completed the Trinity Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.  She studied a range of styles to a high standard including Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz/Musical Theatre, Street/Commercial and Tap.  Aside from dance she studied acting, singing and performed in many showcases and musicals during her time at Laine.  Upon graduating Freya attended Guildford School of Acting for a year to convert her diploma into a BA (Hons) in Theatre.  During this year she studied the history of theatre, acting techniques and various practitioners which broadened her knowledge and skillset significantly.  Deciding to move back to her native Isle of Man she gained QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) whilst working as a secondary school Drama and Performing Arts Teacher.  She then moved to another secondary school to be the acting Head of Dance for a year in which she taught students age 11-18 and saw many through BTEC Dance qualifications at Level 2 and Level 3.  She has vast experience of choreographing various Musicals and Dance Showcases and is thrilled at the prospect of teaching alongside her sister once again!

Jessie is in her final year of training at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, studying for her degree in Musical Theatre. In her career so far she has been fortunate enough to be a part of two professional productions, ‘Diana The Musical’ and ‘Carousel’, as well as college productions of ‘Madagascar, the Musical’ and ‘High School Musical’.

Throughout her childhood, Jessie has been involved in theatre groups which have helped get her to where she is today. She is so excited to have the opportunity to inspire the next generation of performers . Working alongside Emily and Freya at Cosmos is a dream come true!
